Our Farming Sites are certified with the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) standards.

Salmones Austral has around 30 Salmon Farms divided into freshwater and sea water facilities, located in El Maule, Biobío, Araucanía and Los Lagos regions. This allows us to assure product quality in all its stages, caring about the sustainability of the process in the entire productive chain.
Our freshwater sites are located in different districts of our country, both on land and in lakes, where Atlantic and Coho Salmon grow from eggs to smolts, in a process that ensures care for the environment and long term sustainability.
In this stage, salmon growing process goes from egg to Aelvins, to smolt stage over a 10 month period, in which our collaborators provide them high quality food, and the ideal lighting and water oxygenation conditions, to ensure the welfare of fish until they are ready to be transferred to our farming sites.
Salmones Austral has over 20 sea /farming sites, located mostly in the Los Lagos District, where salmon grows from smolt until they reach the appropriate weight to be processed, and shipped to several international markets.
Our salmon farms are equipped with cutting-edge technology, and our collaborators are in constant training to ensure the safety and well-being of the fish.
