Preparations begin for a new version of the Salmon Worker’s Day in Quellón

The activity organized by SalmonChile and its partner companies will take place on February 17 and 18

Thousands of people from the salmon farming family are expected to participate in a new edition of the Salmon Worker’s Day, an initiative promoted by SalmonChile together with Salmones Austral, Yadrán, Marine Farm and AquaChile, which will take place on February 17 and 18 in the Municipal Park of Quellón. As always, the objective is to enhance the union and camaraderie of salmon workers with their families.

The event with different types of activities, such as men’s and women’s inter-company soccer championships, culinary skill contests, family bullfights and live musical shows, among others.

From SalmonChile they highlighted that this instance will recognize the workers and families of the industry’s producing and supplier companies, focused on the work they carry out during the year, which has contributed to the development of a sector that currently generates more than 7,000 jobs in the southern part of Chile.

“We want to invite the entire salmon farming family to be part of this celebration, which will be focused on gratitude for the dedication of the salmon workers in the different chains that make up this business,” commented Pablo Moraga, territorial representative of the Isla Grande de Chiloé. from SalmonChile.

In addition to the organization of SalmonChile, this edition of the Salmon Worker’s Day will have the participation of the companies Marine Farm, Salmones Austral, Yadrán and AquaChile, in addition to the support of the Municipality of Quellón, the Quellón Fire Department, the Carabineros of Quellón, Banco Estado, Los Andes Compensation Fund, La Araucanía Compensation Fund, Cecosf Rukalaf, Chilean Security Association and the Quellón Labor Directorate.
