The “Salmon Commitment” program will benefit more than 1200 persons through 25 social organizations, where the producing companies will personally deliver close to 700 kilos per month to the chosen entities.

Within the “Salmon Commitment” program framework, that seeks to improve salmon access by socially vulnerable persons that are part of the southernmost zone of the country, SalmonChile -together with its producing partner companies-, made a donation of this protein to shelters San Bernardo and San Vicente, located in Puerto Aysén.

The territorial representative of SalmonChile in Aysén, Fernando Camiruaga, said that “We are very happy to deliver salmon to these homes, where we are making a concrete contribution to their diet with a product high in omega-3, nutritious and healthy and that is part of this territory. We hope to continue promoting this program, which will deliver more than 8 tons of this protein between Biobío and Aysén.”

On the other hand, the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Australis, Ángela Ríos, who also participated in the delivery ceremony, indicated that “we are very happy as a company to bring our products closer to our communities, specifically to four social organizations, distributed in Cunco, Puerto Varas and Aysén.

Without a doubt, this is a very positive project that complements the initiative that we had already started in Australis in 2022. We hope that these instances can last over time and contribute to the well-being of the communities, bringing salmon closer as a food with a seal and representativeness of the south of Chile.”

It should be noted that this program will benefit more than 1200 people through 25 social organizations, where the producing companies will personally deliver about 700 kilos per month to the selected entities. Among the participating companies are Australis, Yadran, Blumar, Marine Farm, Cermaq, Multi X, Camanchaca, Cooke, Salmones Austral and Ventisqueros.
