SalmonChile launches fourth edition of its Mentor Network for entrepreneurs in the southern region

Over the next five months, the selected entrepreneurs will be guided by salmon farming leaders to develop their businesses with knowledge in areas such as marketing, finance, leadership and business strategy.

SalmonChile launched the fourth edition of its Salmon Mentor Network program, an initiative designed to support and strengthen entrepreneurs in southern Chile. This program seeks to provide concrete tools to scale businesses through mentoring, led by prominent executives from the productive sector.

The official launch included the participation of the mentors and selected entrepreneurs, who enjoyed a presentation by the founder of Compas Marine, businessman and great entrepreneur, Jorge Pacheco, who shared his business experience and the impact of mentoring on his career.

«Being an entrepreneur is sometimes born and other times done. But the real difference is having the right tools and networks to turn projects into successful, scalable and sustainable businesses. Our goal must be clear: promote more healthy companies and enterprises that grow, generate quality jobs and add value to their communities and the country,” said Pacheco.

Among those who are part of the Salmon Mentor Network, senior executives of salmon producing companies as well as supplier companies stand out.

“The success of this program depends, in large part, on the participation of our partner companies and each of their members, as well as the interest and commitment of those who participate as entrepreneurs. We have seen how, in previous editions, the participating SMEs have improved their competitiveness, which reinforces the importance of this initiative for the salmon farming value chain,” indicated the president of SalmonChile, Arturo Clément.

For her part, the Studies and Projects Manager of the salmon farming union, Marcela Bravo, added that “SMEs are fundamental for Chilean salmon farming, so this initiative arises in response to the commitment of our member companies and their executives, who, concerned “To strengthen and support these small and medium-sized companies, they seek to promote their development and contribute to the growth not only of them, but also of the productive sector.”

In this version, the call, which was open to both entrepreneurs and new mentors, selected participants with projects linked to the salmon industry as well as ventures that could be suppliers to the industry in the medium term and that are located in the regions. from La Araucanía, Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes. The program seeks to integrate entrepreneurs in initial stages or in the process of expansion who wish to enhance their businesses with knowledge in areas such as marketing, finance, leadership and business strategy.

That is why, over the next five months, the selected entrepreneurs will receive a personalized diagnosis, four mentoring sessions, theoretical-practical workshops and will participate in a closing “Pitch Day and networking” event, in order to show their progress. carried out during the program.

The Human Resources Manager of Salmones Austral, Milton Castaing, pointed out that “it is essential to connect the entire salmon farming value chain. Only in this way can we open the door to new ideas that drive constant improvement, generating a positive impact for all the actors involved.”
