Chile: In an atmosphere of camaraderie and teamwork, the shipping company successfully developed this sports initiative, with the aim of strengthening ties with its customers beyond the commercial relationship.
Between December 5 and 19, the First 7-Soccer Championship, Nachipa Wellboats Cup, was held at the Holandesa Club in Puerto Montt, in which seven companies from the salmon industry participated, such as Mowi Chile, AquaChile, Cermaq, MultiX, Blumar, Caleta Bay and Salmones Austral, plus the shipping company organizing the event.
In conversation with Salmonexpert, Guillermo Villalobos, commercial manager of Nachipa, commented that this initiative was born with the objective of convening its customers and being able to share with them in a sport instance and encourage them to have fun so that they can balance mental and physical health.
“We are aware that the month of December is very intense for work. That is why we wanted with this championship to provide the opportunity for our customers to share in a relaxed atmosphere with co-workers and peers from other companies in the salmon farming industry; thereby encouraging and promoting the practice of values such as camaraderie and collaboration,” said Villalobos.
In the executive’s opinion, this initiative was positively received by the participating companies.
“From the first minute we formalized the invitations, they showed great enthusiasm and motivation to participate in this sporting event. Then, during the championship, a great commitment and drive to win and show the best of each team could be observed, all in a context of great respect”.
According to what Villalobos reported, with this initiative Nachipa Wellboats aims to promote healthy living through soccer and also share values such as teamwork, spirit of fair play, responsibility and passion for sports; aspects that were practiced in this championship and that deserve all our recognition.
“In the future we want to continue promoting this type of sports initiatives. For the company, the relationship with our customers is very important. As organizers, we had a great expectation that this event could help us strengthening ties with our customers beyond the commercial relationship that relate us. After the 7-soccer championship concluded, we were left with a pleasant feeling that this tournament has not only been a space for sporting competition, but also a testimony of the union and camaraderie that exists between the companies in the salmon sector in our community”, said the professional.
